Members have been active out of Bridlington over the last two weekends. SD2 (our larger RIB) carried 6 divers to Flamborough Head to dive the wreck of SS Apollonia where the visibility was good and the shot accurately positioned on the ship’s boilers.

More recently (15th June), both RIBs conveyed 10 members to the site of the
Chloris. Again, the shot was well positioned to get among the wreckage and the visibility was reasonable.

Good to see the Water Nymph active again!

It is vital that members do not involve themselves in dives outside of their, or their buddy’s, qualifications. As a reminder, trainee Ocean Divers can be accompanied in open water ONLY by qualified instructors (Practical, Open Water or Advanced).

Members are reminded that ANY items associated with wreckage removed from the sea bed from the intertidal zone (halfway between HWM and LWM) and the 12 mile limit MUST be reported to the Receiver of Wrecks. There is a procedure to follow - inform your DO and complete a MCA form which is downloadable from their website (the club also has copies).
